Dear Bay Area Manufacturing Students,

The Association of Manufacturers Bay Area (AMBayArea) is a regional trade association of companies and organizations committed to helping manufacturers in the region succeed and grow. They recognize that skilled tradespeople are an important part of the success of manufacturing.

AMBayArea is working with the Bay Area Community Colleges (BACC) to offer up to eight $500 scholarships to community college students taking classes towards a career in the manufacturing skilled trades.

If interested, please apply HERE. - Applications are due Dec 10, 2024 by 11:59 pm. Winners will be announced in January.

ELIGIBILITY:

- Enrolled in one of the 28 Bay Area Community Colleges for Spring
- Studying for a career in one of the manufacturing skilled trades (CAD, electronics, industrial maintenance, machining, process technology, quality control, welding, etc.)
- Receive a recommendation from one of your community college faculty. NOTE: No letter is required at this point but we will email them at a later date. Be sure and let them know you are applying for this scholarship.
- GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Previous applicants can apply. Previous awardees are not eligible, however.

NOTE: While we choose the awardees based on their commitment to manufacturing and performance in school, and don't ask questions about financial need, we would like to ask that if you do NOT need the funding you refrain from applying. There are a number of people who may need these funds to help pay for essentials, and we want to assist them in getting their education. Thanks!
