The Student Conservation Association (SCA), America’s #1 conservation service organization, seeks qualified applicants to lead the East Bay Regional Park Corps.
The East Bay Regional Park is a 121,397-acre park located east of San Francisco. Over 1,250 miles of trails across 73 parks, East Bay
Regional Parks are the go to for outdoor recreation in the San Francisco area. The park provides the terrain for lots of activities including hiking, boating, picnicking, horseback riding, camping, fishing and more. Due to the park being so highly utilized, there
has been a massive backlog of trail restoration. This is where the East Bay Regional Park Corps come in.
The SCA trail crew leader will work with a 4 member team and the
East Bay Regional Park District staff on a variety of trail projects
throughout the Park District. Projects may vary widely in location
and scope. They may include, but not limited to:
- Trail maintenance (tread and drainage)
- Social trail restoration
- Installation of erosion structures
- Clearing of the trail corridor
- Reset slope for water runoff
- And more
