Looking for a workforce person (workforce board, nonprofit, intermediary, or related partner) who can deliver the Workforce Spark pitch focused on practical ways to increase women’s entry and success in manufacturing skilled trades.
Possible focus areas for this 4-5 minute talk (pick one):
• Paid work experience that leads to hiring women in the skilled trades (internships/OJT/pre-apprenticeship structures that work for employers and women)
• Retention in the first 90 days (supports + employer practices that reduce early churn)
• Removing predictable barriers (tools/PPE, transportation, schedules, navigation—fast fixes that keep women on track)
• The “women-to-work” pipeline that converts (what reduces drop-off from interest → training → interviews → hires)
It’s intentionally brief (4–5 minutes), practical, and can be a few slides—or no slides at all. The goal is to share 1–2 concrete examples and end with 2–3 prompts that can become a breakout session(s).
If you’re interested (or want to suggest someone), please reply with:
• who would present, and
• which focus area you’d highlight (and a sentence or two on your example).
