NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) presents its October line-up with 16 screenings, featuring October Shorts, InFocus: Veteran Cinema Shorts, and the World Premiere of Stephen Takashima’s feature debut Don’t Kill My Vibe.

The program begins with October Shorts, a vibrant mix of comedy, drama, animation, and live action that explores belonging, self-expression, family, workplace absurdity, fear, and resilience.

It continues with InFocus: Veteran Cinema Shorts, highlighting the work of military veterans through stories that examine mental health, community, and identity with humor and intimacy.
The evening concludes with the World Premiere of Don’t Kill My Vibe, a heartfelt and raucous road trip film about two old friends with a complicated past who land in a treacherous situation.
