The Associate of Science degree in Apprenticeship Carpentry Millwrighting provide the required related and supplemental classroom instruction in the technical skills and knowledge required in the trade for state-indentured apprentices. The work of the Millwright involves installing conveyor systems, escalators, gas and steam turbines, and generators. Millwrights install and do maintenance on machinery in factories and do much of the precision work in nuclear power plants. Skilled construction Millwright mechanics study and interpret prints or working drawings, and then apply their knowledge and expertise to move, assemble, and erect machinery and rotating equipment.
