The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Energy Land Management program aims to prepare graduates to work in the energy business and the Landman Profession. Our faculty and business leaders believe an understanding of business management, the energy industry, and law related to the energy industry is essential for professionals in the industry. The BBA in Energy Land Management primarily develops students interested in careers managing property, mineral, and water rights in the petroleum, solar, or wind energy industries or in real estate. Our program requires an additional project or operations management course to prepare graduates ready to work in the Permian Basin.
UTPB’s BBA in Energy Land Management is accredited by AAPL (American Association of Professional Landmen)
Degree Requirements
- The minimum total semester credit hours required for a BBA is 120.
- Students are required to complete GEOL 1301, 1302, 1101, and 1102.
- All required elective courses must be completed with a grade of “C-“ or better.
BBA in Energy Land Management Requirements
- Students must complete 18 semester credit hours of lower-level business courses.
- Students must complete 24 semester credit hours of upper-level Business common core course
