This program provides one option for students to complete lower-division general education requirements for the University of California or California State University. All courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. Completion of IGETC is typically not a requirement of, nor a guarantee of, transfer admissions. For some colleges and majors at UC, IGETC is not an appropriate general education pattern. Courses listed on this certificate of achievement are effective for the 2022-23 academic year (Fall 2022, Spring 2023, and Summer 2023), and are subject to change each academic year.
