The Certificate of Achievement for Legal Office Interpreting Vietnamese is designed to prepare the student for employment in a legal setting interpreting Vietnamese to English and English to Vietnamese. Students will be prepared for employment in law offices, court reporting services and the courts, both at the State and Federal level. Students will have a basic understanding of legal terminology, ethics and legal procedures.

🗸 Understand the Ethics and regulations of the legal profession in California by completing Law 100 or PARA 100 and Law 121 or PARA 121.

🗸 Understand basic terminology used in the law office and courts by completing the Law 110.

🗸 Demonstrate an entry-level proficiency in legal interpretation (Vietnamese/English) by completion of BA 143or LAW 143.

The certificate of achievement curriculum for Legal Office Interpreting Spanish is designed to prepare the student for employment in a legal setting interpreting Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Students will be prepared for employment in law offices, court reporting services and the courts, both on the State and Federal level. Students will have a basic understanding of legal terminology, ethics and legal procedures.

The Musical Theatre Certificate Level I Certificate (formerly Musical Theatre Certificate) is designed to prepare the student for entry-level performance competency in the field of Musical Theatre and lead to specific areas of employment in musical theater production as well as television, theme parks, cruise ships and education. Related career opportunities include, but are not limited to performer, dancer, singer, director and choreographer. This certificate requires a total of 18.5 - 21.5 units.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

🗸 Analyze, interpret and evaluate the historical contributions of musical theatre composers, choreographers, performers, lyricists, producers, and librettists to gain a culturally responsive historical perspective of musical theatre.

🗸 Analyze, select and apply specific skills in singing, acting and dance to develop foundational auditioning skills for musical theatre.

🗸 Demonstrate and interpret ensemble-based rhythms, music theory and sight singing skills through vocal exercises and musical theatre literature in order to establish foundational skills for music rehearsals within a musical production.

🗸 Formulate script analysis, peer performance evaluations, and theatrical production critiques for the purpose of effectively communicating critical analysis of musical theatre performances.

The Music Recording/Production Certificate is designed as a four semester program to provide the technical skills and theoretical background for a career in the music recording/music production field. The certificate requires a total of 31-32 units of required courses and restricted electives with a minimum grade of C or better in each course taken.

🗸 Demonstrate an understanding of signal flow in the recording process using a real analog console as well as a DAW for the purpose of developing and creating a recorded music performance.

🗸 Create/compose music in a variety of musical genres by implementing music production skills for the purpose of recording individual components of composition.

The Museum Assistant Certificate is designed to provide students with the entry-level skills for the growing global art market. This certificate is ideal for students seeking careers in art museums, galleries, or cultural centers as well as arts professionals who seek to upgrade their knowledge and improve their marketability. Students learn to prepare gallery walls, handle artwork safely, pack and ship artwork, hang artwork, light artwork appropriately, write and create labels and didactic materials, research and lay out an exhibition through hands-on experience. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken. This certificate requires 17-19 units.

🗸 Prepare in-depth analysis of a museum exhibition, addressing concerns of layout, flow, use of color, educational materials including didactic panels and curatorial concept.

🗸 Analyze, compare and contrast the theme and concept of selected exhibitions.

The Multimedia Journalism Certificate is designed to help students learn skills needed in today's high-tech media world. The courses will teach students how to tell stories in multiple media and publish effectively online. It will help students prepare for employment as multimedia reporters, editors and/or web producers. This certificate requires at total of 24-25 units. A minimum grade of C is required for each course taken.

The Mobile Applications Entrepreneur Certificate provides students with a foundation for the development of phone and tablet mobile applications. The curriculum emphasizes the basics of mobile application strategy, design and development using operating systems such as Apple and Android. The certificate also focuses on an understanding of entrepreneurship and business operations. Students will learn the planning, programming and marketing of mobile applications. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken. This certificate requires 16-17 units.

Mobile Applications Entrepreneur Certificate

🗸 Demonstrate effective communication solutions to business problems using appropriate language and tools and demonstrating understanding of business terms and concepts.

🗸 Analyze and recommend effective business decisions/solutions using a systematic, evaluative, and information-based approach.

🗸 Develop, design and deploy mobile apps for gaming, business, productivity, personal use, and education.

The Metrology Mini Skills Certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the inspection, Quality Assurance and/or manufacturing field. The courses in this program focus on dimensional metrology, inspection reporting, mechanical part geometry and computer-assisted inspection. This Certificate program is also designed to enhance the skills of individuals already in the inspection, Quality Assurance and/or manufacturing field that have a desire to learn more about metrology tools in the manufacturing trade. The student is required to complete a total of 13 units. At least one half of the units toward the certificate must be completed at Fullerton College. A minimum grade of C or better is required for each course taken.

🗸 Demonstrate proficiency in completing a simple Inspection Report for piece parts utilizing basic measurement tools and drawings.

🗸 Demonstrate the ability to perform simple calculations for unit conversions and to obtain final values from drawings for Inspection Reports.

The Metrology Certificate covers various aspects of the manufacturing processes which has an emphasis on dimensional metrology, inspection reporting, mechanical part geometry and computer-assisted inspection. The goal of the Metrology Certificate Program is to prepare students for entry to intermediate level employment in the inspection, Quality Assurance and/or manufacturing field. Students entering this field typically find work in the manufacturing industry or with governmental agencies. The Metrology Certificate is also designed to enhance the skills of individuals already in the inspection, Quality Assurance and/or the manufacturing field that have a desire to learn more about measurement tools in the manufacturing trade. The Metrology Certificate Program requires the completion of 29 units with a grade of C or better in each course taken. At least one half of the units toward the certificate must be completed at Fullerton College.

🗸 Demonstrate an understanding of the ANSI Y 14.5 standard by inspecting and evaluating piece part conformance to the ANSI features in the drawing specifications.

The Mastercam Skills Certificate Program is designed for students wishing to further pursue a career in machining or manufacturing with an emphasis in Mastercam programming. This type of Certificate Program typically leads to entry to intermediate level careers as a machinist, toolmaker, CNC operator, CNC programmer, manufacturing engineer, process engineer, field service technician as well as a number of other manufacturing/service positions. This certificate requires a total of 6 units. Both classes must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

🗸 Demonstrate the ability to organize and construct geometry of 3D model parts for machining operations to evaluate tool paths.

🗸 Demonstrate proficiency in Mastercam programming by preparing numerical control programs for CNC machine tools to machine piece parts per drawing specifications.

🗸 Evaluate and select tools for the material removal process and tool paths in the Mastercam program to produce rough and finish machining operations.
