The Legal Videographer Certificate is designed to prepare students to work in the field of legal videography in a variety of settings including, but not limited to the following: court, depositions, hearings, and other venues using the latest in videography equipment to record the proceedings. To earn a certificate, the student must complete the required courses with a grade of C or better. 50 percent of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18.5 units.

The Small Business Management Certificate provide an organized course of study that will enable students to develop their entrepreneurial skills, recognize opportunities, and learn the basics of starting and managing a small business in today’s global environment. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 29 units.

The Business Management Certificate provides students with the necessary skills to perform the various administrative duties of a manager. The program focuses on management, marketing, law, economics, and the global business environment. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 17 units.

The Business Economics Certificate this certificate program provides students with the necessary knowledge to make informed financial decisions. Students will gain an understanding of supply and demand and resource allocation issues, marketplace competitive factors, consumer purchasing patterns, and money-management and investment strategies. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 12 units.

The Sport Management Certificate program prepares students for a career in kinesiology with an emphasis on sport management. The program is designed to help students acquire knowledge, skills and abilities needed to work in the sports management field and successfully manage sport programs. To earn this certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. This certificate requires a total of 16-17 units.

This certificate curriculum is designed to prepare students for entry-level costume careers within the entertainment industry which includes television/film, theme parks, theatres, and varied performance venues across the country and world. Emphasis is placed on developing fundamental costume design skill sets while gaining an understanding of the processes and procedures utilized in the entertainment industry for costuming actors/performers. Possible entry-level job titles are: Costume Design Assistant, Wardrobe Manager, Costume Manager, Dresser, Cutter/Draper, Production Designer, and Costume Shop Assistant all of which can lead to more advanced careers within these industries. ​

The 3D Fashion Illustration certificate curriculum provides students with the technical skills needed for three-dimensional fashion design, three-dimensional illustration, and three-dimensional pattern design and tech design.

The program utilizes CLO 3D Virtual Software in a variety of classes including flat pattern, design, and technical design classes.​​ Currently, the cost of access to CLO3D software is covered by the class enrollment fee. Students also receive access to WGSN for Fall 2023 which has access to many 3D templates that can be utilized​ in the CLO3D software.

Santa Ana College has been offering 3D design classes since 2014. Anyone over the age of 13 is able to enroll. Students can choose to take just one class or they may choose to pursue a certificate or degree.

All 3D classes have a 100% asynchronous sections available. Many sections have live Zoom sections, and some have in-person sections available depending on the semester.

Classes are $46/unit (one to 3 units depending on the class) for California residents. Financial aid options are available at the Financial Aid Office. Enrollment is a 3-step process that begins on the Admissions Page.

A list of upcoming classes can be found in Self-Service​ under Fashion Design Merchandising (be sure to check the semester to view available sections and times). It's best to enroll early to save a seat. Courses can be dropped before the census date (usually the first two weeks of taking a 16-week course) and receive a full refund. Drops after the census date are not eligible for refunds.

​The Law Enforcement Option Certificate is designed to meet or exceed the minimum P.O.S.T. requirements for entry-level employment as peace officers. This certificate requires successful completion of the Basic Police Academy (CJA 099A). Students interested in this certificate should contact an academic counselor, the Criminal Justice Academies, and the Criminal Justice Department for details.

​The Corrections Officer Certificate is designed to upgrade the skills and knowledge that criminal justice professionals require, and provides knowledge of new procedures, policies, and judicial rulings to anyone interested in the criminal justice system, particularly in the field of corrections. This certificate consists of course work that is fundamental for working in the fields of law enforcement, probation, corrections, courts, and private security, and leads to completion of the Criminal Justice Option Degree.

The Certificate of Achievement in Apprenticeship Carpentry, Pile Driver is designed to provide the required related and supplemental classroom instruction in the technical skills and knowledge required in the trade.  Pile drivers work with pile-driving rigs--those big machines that look like cranes, but shake the ground as they drive metal, concrete or wood piling into the earth during the early stages of construction. Usually, pile drivers are the first workers at the construction site. They drive metal sheet piling to hold back the dirt during excavations. They drive concrete and metal piling as part of the foundation system upon which skyscrapers are built, and they drive wood and concrete piling to hold up docks, wharfs and bridges. In some cases they work on off-shore oil rigs and as commercial divers involved in underwater construction. Pile drivers are also required to install heavy timbers and weld or cut large metal beams. Successful completion may result in journeyworker status. Interested apprentices should contact the Carpentry Apprenticeship Committee and the Apprenticeship Office at Santiago Canyon College.
