The Data Management Certificate helps prepare students for employment or further study in the Data Management and Sciences field. Data Sciences is the identification, analysis and interpretation of volumes of data that are collected from a wide variety of sources. Students will learn to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets, to resolve business questions and make data-driven decisions. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 15 units.

The Data Analytics Certificate helps prepare students for employment or further study in the Data Analytics field. The Cybersecurity Certificate prepares students to recognize Cybersecurity threats and implement procedures to protect computers, networks, programs and data from unintended or unauthorized access, change or destruction. It will also enhance students’ chances to pursue a professional career in Cybersecurity by preparing them for industry-recognized certificates such as ITF+, A+, Security+, and CySA+. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 17 units.

The Cyber Defense Certificate provides concepts and hands-on skills to identify Cybersecurity threats and implement procedures to protect Cyber assets. It will also enhance students’ chances to pursue a professional career in Cybersecurity by giving them various options to prepare for industry-recognized certificates such as CompTIA ITF+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, Project+, Cisco CCNA and CyberOps, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 26-28 units.

The Computer Programming Certificate is designed to provide a working knowledge of what is required to be successful in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software programs and solutions based on user needs and requirements. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

The Computer and Office Applications Certificate gives the students a working knowledge for a career in computer applications in an office setting. Upon completion, the student will work in the capacity of office assistant, computer application specialist, or administrative assistant. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

The Cisco Networking Certificate prepares the students for a career in the area of computer networking. The program is designed to teach students the skills needed to design, build, and maintain small to medium-sized networks. The curriculum also prepares students for the industry-recognized CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) exam. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

Depending on the program and the number of units taken each semester, completing a certificate program can take as little as one to two semesters. Students may also choose to apply some of their coursework to a business degree.   

The Business Information Worker Certificate reflects the employable skills needed for today's business information worker. This program includes computer applications in Word, Excel, Outlook, computer concepts, and human relations in business. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

The Recording Arts Certificate program was developed for prospective record producers, recording engineers, and songwriters, giving them an insider’s look at the way music is recorded today. Students will gain hands-on experience in “state-of-the-art” facilities. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of “C”. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College.

Depending on the number of units taken per semester, the commercial music and recording arts certificates can each be completed in two or three semesters

The Communication Certificate recognizes a student's achievement in a variety of communication skills including, public speaking, critical thinking, argumentation, group problem-solving and decision-making, and interpersonal and intercultural interaction. Communication skills are an intrinsic component of success in both personal and professional relationships and are highly valued by employers in the workplace. To earn this certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16-18 units.
