Directed practical work is given in areas of automotive maintenance and repair under simulated on-the-job conditions. Particular emphasis is placed on those competencies required of Toyota/Lexus dealerships for entry-level employment. The program will provide the student the opportunity to learn basic vehicle maintenance and service the following systems; battery, charging system, brake system, tires and TPMS, steering/suspension, and alignments. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of C or better. All coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 28 units.
