The Automotive T-TEN Electrical Certificate program is designed to prepare students for employment as Toyota/Lexus automotive electrical system diagnostic specialists. Coursework includes theory and operation of electrical systems, the use of test instruments, and skill competency in electrical system diagnosis and repair. The program will provide the student the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded of the modern automotive electrical system specialist. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. 100% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. Training is given in theory and practical skills. Directed practical work is given in areas of automotive maintenance and repair under simulated on-the-job conditions. Particular emphasis is placed on those competencies required of Toyota/Lexus brake, suspension, and alignment technicians. The program will provide the student the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded of the modern automotive brake, suspension, and alignment technician. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of C or better. All course work must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18 units.

The program will provide the student the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills demanded of the modern Toyota/Lexus automotive HVAC system specialist. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of C or better. 100% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18 units.

The Automotive Sales and Service Certificate program is designed to prepare students for customer service and sales positions in the automotive industry. It provides students with a basic knowledge of automobile operations, general maintenance requirements, and damage appraisal procedures along with marketing and management principles. The certificate will enable students to work in a variety of non technical areas in an automobile dealership, repair shop, or insurance company as a service representative, salesperson, or estimator. To earn a certificate, complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 15-16 units.

The Collision Repair I-CAR Gold Certificate program is designed to facilitate the student in acquiring the necessary knowledge and documentation to gain ICAR training points when entering the automotive collision repair industry. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a minimum grade of “C” or higher. At least 50% of all course work must be completed at Cypress College.

The Auto Collision 4: Appraisal & Management Certificate program continues the development of skills in structural repair, as well as damage appraisal and collision repair management. Practical and advanced skills are also acquired in electrical systems and component repair. To earn a certificate students must complete all major course requirements with a grade of C or better At least 50% of the program must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 19 units.

The Auto Collision 3: Structural Certificate continues the development of skills for the auto collision repair industry, with an emphasis on structural alignment. Students will develop expertise in tools and techniques in paint and refinishing. To earn a certificate students must complete all major course requirements with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of the program must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 16 units.

The Auto Collision 2: Paint and Refinishing Certificate is a continuation of and a progressive skills development of the fundamentals of auto collision repair, including the tools, techniques, and basic concepts and safety standards of the industry. Students will advance their skills in structural repair, refinishing, detailing, and paint matching for entry-level work. To earn a certificate students must complete all major course requirements with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of the program must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 18 units.

The Auto Collision 1: Detail Technician Certificate introduces students to the fundamentals of auto collision repair, including the tools, techniques, and basic concepts and safety standards of the industry. Students will learn the basics of detailing, structural repair, and refinishing for entry-level work. To earn a certificate students must complete all major course requirements with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of the program must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 17-18 units.

The Archaeology Technician Certificate consists of a total of 26-28 units in anthropology and related disciplines. Combined, these classes provide basic knowledge and skills useful in the field of CRM (Cultural Resource Management). Although a career in archaeology will likely require at least a bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Anthropology, this certificate assists students in gaining entry-level positions in professional archaeology. To earn this certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. This certificate consists of three sets of classes: required classes (17 units); anthropology electives (3-4 units); and non-anthropology electives (6-7 units). At least 50% of all major coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 26-28 units.
