The Radiologic Technology Certificate: To earn a certificate, students must have previously earned an Associate Degree and have completed all of the Cypress College Radiologic Technology Program requirements with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 66.5 units.

A student who completes the Radiologic Technology program will be able to:

The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certificate will provide occupational training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. The purpose of this instruction is to qualify the student for examination by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and to prepare the student for gainful employment in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required courses as listed with a grade of C or better. At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College. This certificate requires a total of 66 units.

After completing the clinical internship and receiving the completion certificate, the student will be eligible to apply for the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is accredited by the  Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs.

The Dental Assisting Certificate is designed to enable a student to receive a certificate of Dental Assisting. To earn a certificate, students must complete the required course as listed with a minimum grade of "C." At least 50% of all coursework must be completed at Cypress College.

Students who complete the Dental Assisting program will be able to:

- Demonstrate the academic knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to qualify for both the National Certification Exam and the California State Registered Dental Assistant Exam.

The Art Education Teaching Artist Specialization Certificate Program is a sequence of 10 courses (17 units), providing intensive study in art education for individuals who already hold a BA, BFA, MA, or MFA in Fine Art / Design / Media Art. Offered in collaboration with Otis’ Artist, Community and Teaching (ACT) Program, the Teaching Artist Specialization is designed to prepare students for positions that do not require a credential such as teaching artists in K-12 public or private schools, artists in residence programs, correctional facilities, museum education departments, non-profit arts organizations, etc. (Department of Labor Standard Occupational Code: 25-3099).

The Certificate in Health Care Administration (HCA) is comparable to a minor of 12 units. Components of the program include the forms of organization and operation of health care systems, human resources management, and leadership and development.  The Certificate may be combined with major programs from a variety of fields, including, but not limited to, behavioral and natural sciences, humanities, health professions, business, and public administration, and social work. 

Students may only pursue the certificate program in combination with a CSULB degree program.

The Department of Marketing, in cooperation with the Office of Extended Studies and International Programs, offers an undergraduate credit certificate program in Transportation and Logistics, designed for individuals intending: to work in the movement of raw materials and freight to manufacturing, warehousing, and retail facilities; pursuing a career in the field of industrial traffic, transportation and logistics. A total of 21 units (7 courses) are required for the certificate including 15 units (5 courses) are required and 6 units (2 courses) are electives. The Department of Information Systems offers a credit certificate in Information Systems Security Managers, which is designed to provide a solid foundation in information security for individuals seeking positions in managing, designing, and assessing an enterprise’s information security. The certificate addresses various aspects of enterprise-wide information systems security management. The program includes a minimum of 18 units in CIS and related courses.
