This program prepares students to operate ECG equipment and work as an ECG Technician in a cardiology office, non-invasive cardiac diagnostic department in a hospital, medical clinic or other medical facilities. Graduates are eligible to take the national registry examination: Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

🗸 Perform clinical tasks on ECG machines, Holter monitor systems, exercise stress test equipment and perform CPR as needed.

🗸 Prepare for the various national registry examinations for Electrocardiography Technician certification.

This certificate of achievement was created to give students the opportunity to show potential employers in this country and in other countries that the student has completed a certain number of courses in Italian and prepares students with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Italian and familiarizes them with the culture of Italy.

This certificate of achievement provides students, prospective employers and others with documented evidence of persistence and academic accomplishment in the language. The certificate requires completion of at least 13 units from the following list of courses. Students may not take a credit/no credit option for required courses and each course must be completed with a “C” grade or higher.

The certificate of achievement in industrial design is intended for students who wish to enter the workforce directly in an industrial design field without transferring to a four-year university program. The certificate of achievement prepares students for a career as an industrial design intern, modeler or designer offering technical support, design, and modeling and fabrication assistance in an industrial design office.

Industrial design interns and technicians prepare models, presentation drawings, computer models and renderings for the design and production of everyday objects and tools, household products, soft goods, packaging and transportation design.

To earn a certificate of achievement in industrial design, students must complete each of the required courses required with a “C” grade or higher and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher.

This certificate is designed for students planning to transfer to either the University of California (UC) or the California State University (CSU) System. It offers students a program of study which meets IGETC requirements. Although the certificate recognizes the completion of lower division IGETC requirements, it does not guarantee admission to a specific campus or school within the UC or CSU systems nor does it guarantee admission to a specific major. Some majors and colleges may require a different lower division preparation and/or a higher GPA than is necessary for this certificate.

Students who intend to transfer must meet all current IGETC transfer requirements including minimum GPA and eligibility for certification. Students are strongly advised to meet with a counselor to discuss transfer requirements and lower division major preparation that is needed for their intended transfer school. This program prepares students for employment as assistant tree trimmers, pruners, or fallers working under certified arborists.

To earn a certificate of accomplishment, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or higher. Required courses are available evenings and/or on weekends.

This certificate provides the fundamental skills required for entry-level employment in the nursery industry. It includes classroom and hands-on laboratory experiences.

The Graphic Design Program provides transfer, professional preparation, with career related training for designers and artists. Each course provides hands-on experience to develop a portfolio for professional advancement, and transfer preparation for university degrees. Courses are offered online and at both campuses.

The Certificate of Achievement in Graphic Design, prepares students for Graphic Design internships and entry-level occupations in the graphic arts and design Industry. Students will use current industry standards, software, and production techniques to complete project-based assignments. Each assignment emulates an industry-based design project that is appropriate for a personal portfolio of design work. A Certificate of Achievement is awarded for the satisfactory completion of the program requirements.

Demographers predict that by 2025 it will be the most widely spoken language in Europe, and that by 2050 there will be over 700 million French speakers around the world. Currently, French is an official language of 29 countries, second only to English in this category. French is one of the working languages of numerous international organizations including the United Nations and the European Union. In addition, French has played an important role in art, literature, film, cuisine, viticulture, sports, politics, international business, science, medicine, and global communication. Proficiency in French and knowledge of French-speaking cultures enhance any profession and field of specialization, and enrich one’s intellectual growth.

Skills Certificates are an acknowledgement that the student has attained a specified set of competencies within a program. Skills Certificates require less than 18 units and are shorter in duration than the Certificate of Achievement. The French Skills Certificate provides a way for students to verify that they have reached a level of proficiency in the French language.

Skills Certificates may be part of a “ladder” of skills, beginning with job entry skills and leading to a full Certificate of Achievement program or may constitute a skill set that enables a student to upgrade or advance in an existing career. Skills Certificates require less than 18 units and are shorter in duration than the Certificate of Achievement. The Emergency Medical Technician Training Course certificate meets the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code for basic EMT-1 training. The approving authority is the Marin County Emergency Medical Service Agency. This course completion is valid for two years from the completion date and shall be recognized statewide. Note: This is not an EMT-1 Certificate.
