The Application for LACI's new Building Energy Management Fellowship Course to help residents of Los Angeles prepare for a job in cleantech is now live!
Managing energy use in buildings will be critical to fighting climate change. During this FREE, seven-week training, 40 participants will focus on building infrastructure and how to leverage technology when managing building efficiency measures and energy use.
Regardless of previous experience, this course prepares individuals for a strong, sustainable career. Participants will learn the fundamentals of building science, systems and energy efficiency, as administered by the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
Opportunities for career pathways that can be obtained from this Fellowship include Building Operators, Building Analysts and Energy Auditors. All jobs have strong wages, benefits and opportunities for advancement.

In addition to technical skills, participants all receive a stipend and a laptop for use during training along with free professional development (i.e interview prep) and job placement services (i.e. access to a job directory) to assist them in their transition into the green economy. LACI offers various resources to support program participants, such as financial assistance and reimbursement for travel costs to attend the Fellowship.
