The College Student Success noncredit certificate is designed to support new students in acquiring the skills, resources, and information necessary for academic success at Diablo Valley College. In two required certificate classes, students will evaluate educational options, explore requirements for different educational and career pathways, and develop skills for college success. Completion of this certificate prepares students for a successful educational journey.

Certificate of Achievement in Welding

Welding Technology Program provides an extensive background in cutting and welding processes, such as Oxyacetylene Cutting and Welding, Plasma Cutting, Carbon Arc Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding,  Flux Core, MIG and TIG.  Welding include structural metal fabricator, pipe and steamfitter, welding inspector, and welding engineer.  Welders who can qualify in these specialty areas such as TIG, Pipe Welding, and the welding of stainless steel and aluminum are always in demand.  Many artists also learn to specialize in metalwork by taking welding courses. The certificate program includes training for beginning, intermediate, and advanced Welders. All students should consult a counselor.
