The Stage Management Certificate is designed to provide the student with enhanced occupational competency as a Stage Manager for theatrical and dance productions, corporate events, theme parks, television, and film studios. This advanced certificate requires completion of the Assistant Stage Management Certificate (19.5-24.5 units) plus additional advanced courses for a total of 36-49.5 units. At least one-half of the units toward the certificate must be completed at Fullerton College. All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

The Stage and Screen Combat Level 1 Certificate is designed to prepare the student for entry-level performance competency and employment in the field of stage combat and stunts, with specific areas of employment in regional theatre, television, film, theme parks and education. Students will integrate voice, mind, and body techniques toward character development, train and employ a variety of techniques specific to armed and unarmed staged violence, integrate choreography into the context of scripted scene work, and be adjudicated for proficiency and recognition by an internationally recognized organization (Society of American Fight Directors). This certificate requires a total of 18.5-22.5 units.

The Sports Broadcasting Certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in radio, television, internet or cable television sports broadcasting. Students learn how to do play-by-play, color reporting, cover games by remote broadcasts on KBPK and on audio and internet streams. The Sports Broadcasting Certificate requires a total of 19 units of which 16 units are in required courses. An additional 3 units must be chosen from the restricted units listed below. A minimum grade of "C" is required in each course taken.

🗸 Compose an employment package for entry-level employment in the sports radio industry as a sports reporter, sports producer and sports announcer.

The Special Education Certificate prepares students for employment as instructional aides in K - 12 public schools and early childhood programs where children identified with special needs are enrolled. In many of the courses required for this certificate, student's study, observe and learn utilizing the Child Development Laboratory Instructional Classrooms. A minimum grade of C is required in each course taken. The Special Education Certificate requires a total of 18 units.

The Spanish Language Media Certificate requires a total of 25-27 units of which 19-20 units are in required courses. An additional 6-7 units must be completed from the restricted electives listed below.The certificate provides students with sufficient background for reporting, writing and production jobs on Spanish-language community newspapers and online publications. A minimum grade of C is required in each course taken.

The program provides students with hands-on experience, and a working knowledge of the creative and technical issues surrounding the production of digital audio and its application and synchronization with other media. Students will study various means of computer-assisted digital audio production including sequencing, digital recording, recording studio techniques, mixdown, and synchronization to video. The business of music as well as current and emerging technologies, such as video game music and sound design will also be covered. A variety of music electives are available to help students gain experience in other musical skills including instruction on an instrument, ensemble playing, and music theory.

The certificate of achievement in medical assistant administrative/clinical is designed to prepare a student for employment in a medical office, hospital business office, ambulatory clinic, or allied health facility. Allied health careers for medical assistants function in the front and back office, as health insurance specialists, admission representatives, medical records specialists and receptionists in all medical facilities. Course content includes medical terminology; medical data entry, computer skills; medical documents, electronic health records, reports and charts; medical insurance and coding, billing and collections, bookkeeping; effective human relations and communication as related to a medical office; clinical procedures such as medical and surgical asepsis, measuring vital signs, documenting health histories, medication administration, sterilizing instruments, assisting with minor surgery, instrument identification; laboratory procedures; and professional ethics, legal and scope of practice. Graduates will be qualified to assist providers, doctors, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants in clinical situations and function under the direct supervision of a medical doctor or podiatrist. Graduates will also be qualified to perform all administrative duties normally required in the medical office, hospital business office, clinics, and allied health facilities.

The Sound Technician Certificate is designed to provide the student with enhanced occupational competency as a general theatre technician specializing in Sound, for theatrical productions, corporate events, theme parks, television, and film studios. This advanced certificate requires completion of the Technical Theatre Certificate (17-24.5 units) plus additional advanced courses for a total of 33-48.5 units. At least one-half of the units toward the certificate must be completed at Fullerton College. All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.
