The Greenhouse and Nursery Production Certificate prepares students for entry level positions in the greenhouse and  nursery industry, including both wholesale and retail nursery operations. This certificate requires the completion of 30-31 units of which 12 units are in required courses. An additional 9 units must be chosen from restricted electives group A and 9-10 units from restricted electives Group B. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken.

The Certificate Program in Criminal Justice Spanish is designed to prepare students and professionals in the criminal justice and related fields to serve the needs of the growing Spanish-speaking population in California by being able to communicate with them.

Coursework in the Certificate Program in Criminal Justice Spanish lends itself to a practical acquisition of specialized terminology in Spanish used in criminal justice settings and Hispanic cultural competence.

For admission to the program, participants need to be in good academic standing and successful completion of three years of HS Spanish, which is equivalent to SPAN 2A, or instructor permission.

The program coordinator will review every student at the end of every academic term, and determine whether students are making sufficient progress to continue in the program.

An express (untranscripted) certificate program introducing students to major components of Graphic Design and Digital Media. The program prepares students for entry-level positions in the field of graphic arts and design-related office work. The courses in this certificate are required for the AA degrees in Graphic Design and Digital Media Arts.

The Flexography Certificate provides the skills needed to operate a flexographic printing press and enter the commercial flexographic printing industry. This certificate requires completion of 11 units of required courses. A minimum grade of “C” is required in each course taken

Emphasis on learning writing skills for the development of such television programming as sitcoms, talk shows, news and documentaries, musical variety shows, game shows and soaps, as well as commercials, corporate videos and web programs.

The Financial Accounting Certificate program emphasizes developing an advanced understanding of accounting principles, analytical skills and the capacity to solve problems. The objective of the program is to prepare students for a professional entry-level career within a focus area of accounting by building both technical and soft skills. Some career opportunities include accountant, bookkeeper, data-entry clerk, financial staff accountant, cost accountant, and general office clerk. A minimum grade of C is required in each course taken. This certificate requires 18 units.

This certificate will introduce and develop core single-camera production skills including producing, directing, filming, and editing videos for narrative short-form and feature film productions. Upon completion of this certificate program, students will be eligible for entry-level employment as production assistants, editors, videographers, assistant directors, and project managers.

The Finance Skills Certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in the financial services industry or responsibility for making financial decisions. Students will gain the foundational knowledge and tools needed for financial analysis and decision making. The focus of the program is skill building in areas such as capital markets and investments, mergers and acquisitions, international corporate governance, investment theory, and real estate to prepare students for employment. A grade of C or better is required in each course. This certificate requires 12-14 units.
