The Finance Certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in the financial services industry or who are responsible for making financial decisions. The focus of the program helps students to gain a solid foundation in the principles of finance, becoming well informed of topics critical to financial planning, implementation, measurement, and investment. Emphasis on building advanced knowledge of economic theory, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, international markets, and risk management to prepare students for employment. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken. This certificate requires 18-19 units.

The UX Design program is designed to address technical skills and creativity in the areas of digital imaging, online page layout, graphic principles of web design, responsive design and interactive design elements for multimedia presentation. Students have options for developing additional skills through work experience, business marketing, or computer programming.

The Fashion Skills Certificate is designed to provide the student with a course of study leading to fast employment in the fashion apparel industry. This skills certificate requires 9 units, all of which are required courses. A grade of C or better is required for each course taken. This certificate requires 9 units.

The Production Artist certificate reflects the rapidly changing industry skills for entry into the broad field of graphic design. Graduates of this program will find entry into the profession at various levels, with employment opportunities in the fields of advertising, graphic design, social media, the printing industry, and e-commerce. Skills developed include options in digital print and media design.

The Fashion Merchandising Certificate is designed to provide a course of study that prepares students for entry-employment as a professional and competent in fashion merchandising fields such as fashion merchandiser, fashion apparel buyer, visual merchandiser, and fashion sales representative. Individuals with this certificate are able to know how to sell and market apparel, merchandise apparel lines, and visually showcase apparel in all aspect from digital to brick and mortar stores. A grade of C or better is required in each course taken. The Fashion Merchandising Certificate requires the completion of 35-39 units.

This certificate will introduce and develop core single-camera production skills including producing, directing, filming, and editing videos for clients. Students will use the same production process used for narrative and documentary filmmaking, but learn how to do so to meet client business needs for marketing and training. Upon completion of this certificate program, students will be eligible for entry-level employment as Producers, Production Assistants, Editors, Videographers, Assistant Directors, and Project Managers.

Learning Outcome(s):

✓ The core competencies for an agency filmmaker include: communication skills: writing, interpersonal, business and organizational; digital visual acumen to visualize, compose, and film a scene; digital organizational and assembly of storytelling images and sounds; technical acumen for both digital cameras and editing software. The Student Learning Outcomes include: an ability to communicate with clients and determine a visual and aural product that meets the clients' goals and objectives. Concepting a finished product that will meet the clients' needs and budget, and will meaningfully convey the intended message. The student will also be able to operate professional digital cameras and be able to compose shots and film scenes that meet all professional standards for: focus, white balance, composition, color and texture. The student will also be able to operate professional video software so that they can ingest digital footage, arrange files on a timeline to tell a meaningful story, and export the finished product to a common digital file for playback

The Fashion Illustration Certificate is designed to prepare students for employment in fashion illustration fields such as technical designer, textiles, model/croquis drawing, direct mail catalog and advertising. This certificate requires the completion of 35-37 units of which 28 are in required courses. An additional 7-9 units must be chosen from the restricted electives listed below. A grade of C or better is required for all courses.

Program Student Learning Outcomes:

🗸 Illustrate the 10 head fiqure (croquis) and generate folds, pleats and gathers of clothing and complete the necessary requirements for certification for employment in fashion illustration.

🗸 Illustrate a garment from their own creative ideas so that they can communicate a mental image to a viewer using a variety of drawing tools and assemble a portfolio for job interviews.

The Fashion Design Certificate Program is designed to provide a course of study that prepares students for entry-level employment as a professional and competent in the field of the fashion apparel industry as a worker in the design room or equivalent. Individuals with this certificate are able to design, build a apparel line, illustrate by hand and on the computer garments, alter patterns, and create patterns manually as well as on the computer. This course of study brings the student deeper into the fashion field.  A grade of C or better is required in each course taken. This certificate requires the completion of 38-42 units.
