The Master Tutor Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to provide tutoring skills with an emphasis on group management, cognitive scaffolding, and self-regulated learning and provides a general overview of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles. Students gain experience in identifying accessibility barriers and methods to create and design content to leverage engagement and increase inclusivity. Students leave the program with job ready skills for use in local tutoring programs and as teaching assistants. The program also provides content needed for College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) International Tutor Training Program, Level III certification. Prior enrollment and successful completion of the Tutor Preparation Program is required. Students can repeat the courses in the program to gain additional skills or to meet new industry certification standards .
