The programs of the Viticulture and Winery Technology department are designed to prepare students for careers in the North Coast wine industry. The one-year Certificate and two-year Associate of Science options provide students with the knowledge and skills essential for success. The Certificate in Viticulture and Winery Technology consists of production-oriented courses in viticulture and winemaking. The Certificate in Wine Marketing and Sales is a mix of viticulture, winemaking and business courses. Certificate programs may be modified to meet the career goals of the individual student. The typical student will be able to earn a Certificate in one to two years. Students who complete the Associate of Science in Viticulture and Winery Technology degree specialize in either Viticulture, Winemaking or Wine Marketing and Sales. The Associate of Science degree includes general education courses, basic science courses and core courses in the degree option. The typical student will be able to earn an Associate of Science degree in two to three years.

The Audio Production and Post-Production certificate provides students with foundational technical skills for a number of jobs in the audio industry, including live sound event production, music recording studios, sound design for film, television, and video.

The Audio Production and Post-Production program is a stand-alone certificate with a choice of emphasis either in the sound reinforcement industry or sound design and sound for visual media.

The Live Sound emphasis provides students with a foundation in the
application of audio production in various acoustic spaces and venues. Students learn how to operate and troubleshoot live sound production equipment and are prepared for entry-level work doing live sound for theaters, nightclubs, concert halls, sporting events, conferences, conventions, presentations, and live sound distribution via broadcast, cable, wireless, mobile devices and emerging media.

The Sound Design emphasis includes use of industry-standard equipment in audio-for-visual media production facilities and in location sound. Students who complete this certificate are prepared for entry-level positions in facilities specializing in audio-for-video and film production, television, radio production, advertising, and theater.

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

This certificate of completion validates training in tool, equipment, personal safety, use of proper and appropriate materials and supplies, and proper handling of diverse power tools. Students successfully completing this certificate will be qualified for entry-level construction and building maintenance employment.
