The program includes communication skills, portfolio development, and visual presentation and pitching strategies. This certificate is designed for students who are just beginning to study and practice arts as well as students with substantial artistic experience who are looking for ways to redesign their creative livelihood. Students may focus on art studio, art photography, art history, dance, digital media, music, theater, or a combination of these.

The Art Studio Digital Fabrication Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to give students an introductory survey of creative applications in computer-aided fabrication technologies such as 3D printing and scanning, laser cutting and engraving, water jet cutter, and Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) equipment for creating art objects. Students explore design thinking, digital fabrication hardware and software, and integration of digital fabrication techniques with traditional art. Students create multiple art objects and document their creations in a professional digital portfolio.

The Accounting for QuickBooks Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to cover practical accounting, terminology, and the complete accounting cycle from documentation through journals, ledgers, and financial statements for both service and merchandising companies. Introduces the use of QuickBooks from the accounting practitioner's perspective. Includes setting up new businesses, entering data, locating information, and analyzing financial statements for service, merchandising, and manufacturing companies. Designed for careers in the field of accounting as well as business owners who wish to prepare their own accounting records using QuickBooks. May be offered in a distance-learning format.

The Accounting for Payroll Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to prepare students for careers in the field of accounting and payroll as well as business owners preparing their own accounting and payroll records. Courses in the program cover practical accounting, terminology, and the complete accounting cycle from documentation through journals, ledgers, financial statements, payroll calculations, and federal and California payroll tax requirements for withholding and reporting. Additional topics include labor laws, the importance of internal control, retirement plans, and workers' compensation programs. May be offered in a distance-learning format.

Today's academic and professional institutions require competency in English communication skills. In this program, students in the English Department will complete tasks and activities to demonstrate reading comprehension, write clearly and coherently, compose a variety of academic writing assignments and professional emails and make presentations. A student who has completed this program will be equipped with the communication skills to be well-prepared for future success in a variety of academic and professional environments.

The Laboratory Professional I certificate provides students knowledge and skills needed for employment and career in the life science industry. Students gain laboratory skills through training and practice according to life science industry professional standards. Students work on real-world projects which are all hands-on and include scientific sampling, analysis, and data collection. Students in the program will also gain the ability to prepare and effectively present scientific work, data and laboratory analysis to a wide variety of audiences. Students completing this certificate are well-prepared for internships in university, government, and life science industry laboratories. The Laboratory Professional I certificate is also useful for gaining laboratory employment.

The Biological Testing Technician certificate provides training appropriate for work in certified testing labs. Students will learn and practice lab skills for processing and testing samples for chemical content and contaminants, presence of beneficial and harmful microbes and potency of product. The types of certified testing lab include medical diagnostics (such as COVID-19 testing), environmental monitoring, food nutrition and safety, and cannabis.
