The Early Intervention Assistant Certificate of Achievement is designed to meet the Early Intervention Assistant II requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and prepares students to work as early childhood interventionists and special education paraprofessionals at the Early Childhood Intervention Assistant II level. It meets California’s Prevention and Early Intervention’s requirements for state competencies for early childhood paraprofessionals and is appropriate for students who wish to work as assistants or paraprofessionals in early intervention, early childhood special education, or related child development or special education programs serving children with special needs. Students who complete this certificate and sixteen specified units of General Education will be eligible to apply for the California Child Development Teacher Permit, which is issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

The Child Development and Educational Studies Program (CDES) offers students an Associate of Arts degree in two main areas: 1) Child Development: Students completing the Associate Degree in Child Development may apply to become a teacher, master teacher, or site supervisor within the California Child Development and School Age Matrix. 2) Liberal Arts with emphasis in Elementary Education: The Associate Degree in Liberal Arts prepares students to transfer to 4-year colleges and universities, and begins a sequence of classes that leads to careers in child development, and elementary and secondary education.

The knowledge and skills required for this certificate prepare students to work in child care and development programs in which the children speak Spanish.

The Google IT Support Certificate of Completion is a noncredit certificate designed to introduce students to the world of Information Technology (IT). The two-course sequence presents the different facets of IT, such as computer hardware, the Internet, computer software, operating systems, systems administration, information security, troubleshooting, and customer support. The program covers a wide variety of topics in IT that are designed to give the student an overview of a career in IT.  Students successfully completing the program will have an understanding of the skills required to succeed in an entry-level IT capacity, and familiarity with the day-to-day IT support tasks including computer assembly, wired and wireless networking, installing programs, and customer support. May be offered in a distance-learning format.

The Cybersecurity Skills Certificate helps prepare students for entry-level positions and industry certification exams such as CompTIA Security+ and the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and the Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator (CHFI) certifications.

The Computer Support Technician I Skills Certificate prepares the student to provide support to users in the information processing department of a company by using specialized computer knowledge and skills. Specifically, support technicians communicate effectively with users and ensure computer hardware and software operate properly.

The Computer Support Certificate of Achievement is the fast track to starting a career in Information Technology (IT). Hands-on courses teach the knowledge and skills necessary to work in computer technical support and prepare students for industry certification exams. Computer technical support workers provide technical help, solve computer problems, document processes, train other people, and keep businesses connected in every industry and every state in America. Courses include computer hardware, operating systems, fundamentals of networking, the cloud, security, programming, and help desk concepts.

Students are prepared for entry-level jobs as computer support specialists. These jobs require excellent customer service, communication, and computer skills and can be found in a variety of organizations - both large and small - in the private or public sectors. Computer support specialists are needed everywhere and businesses rely on computers. Student internships and apprenticeships are available to help students connect with local employers.
