The Google IT Automation with Python Certificate is designed to provide students with a background in IT support with in-demand skills, including Python, Git, and IT automation, that can help advance their career and transition to a credit certificate or degree program. Students will be much more competitive if they already have a degree. Possible careers include, but are not limited to: IT support specialist, junior systems analyst, junior systems administrator, and network specialist.

The Google Data Analytics Certificate develops proficiency with the fundamentals of data analytics. This program prepares the student for entry-level career positions and transition to a credit certificate or degree program requiring basics of data analytics, including data cleaning, problem solving, critical thinking, data ethics, and data visualization using tools and platforms like presentations, spreadsheets, SQL, Tableau and R Programming. Students will be much more competitive if they already have a degree. Possible careers include, but are not limited to: associate data analyst, business performance analyst, junior data scientist, marketing analyst, finance analyst, healthcare analyst, operations analyst, and data technician.

This certificate of achievement was created to give students the opportunity to show potential employers in this country and in other countries that the student has completed a certain number of courses in Russian and prepares students with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Russian and familiarizes them with the culture of Russia and other Russian-speaking countries.

This certificate of achievement provides students, prospective employers and others with documented evidence of persistence and academic accomplishment in the language. The certificate requires completion of a minimum of 15 units from the following list of courses.  Students may not take a pass/no pass option for required courses and each requirement must be completed with a "C" grade or higher.

The Yoga Teacher Training - 200-Hour certificate fulfills the requirements of the Yoga Alliance 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) which serves as the minimum credential required by many employers of yoga teachers. This program integrates lecture, laboratory, and internship experiences to prepare students to be effective yoga instructors. Topics include yoga techniques including postures, breathing exercises, and meditation, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, philosophy, business aspects of yoga, and ethics. The program is two semesters in length and will be cohort based with cohorts starting in Fall 2023.

To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete each course used to meet a certificate requirement with a “C” grade or higher.

The personal training entrepreneurship certificate program will allow students to develop the business skills needed to start and run their own personal training businesses or to increase their employability in the local fitness industry.

The fitness coach certificate is a 13-unit course of study that will expose students to the basic strategies of working within a fitness facility while preparing them for various general capacities within a fitness facility that require less technical ability than more independent positions. Completion of the certificate requirements will prepare students with entry level knowledge regarding the modern state of health and fitness, define the varying scopes of practice in the fitness industry, and give prospective to differentiate evidence-based practices from fitness fads and myths.

This apprenticeship program focuses on the mechanical and electrical side of marine equipment. Students who would like to gain employment at aftermarket shops could take this program and excel in a shop that services many types of marine equipment from multiple manufacturers. Students work side-by-side and hands-on with industry professionals in a fully equipped and up-to-date facility. This program include a work experience component.

Program Outcomes

- Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Marine Technology Yachting 101, student will be able to perform diagnostics on a marine electrical system.

- Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Marine Technology Yachting 101, student will be able to perform a cylinder leakdown test.

The Associate in Arts in Social Justice Studies: Gender Studies for Transfer is designed for prospective California State University (CSU) transfer students who are preparing for careers in Women and Gender Studies and related fields. Completion of the Social Justice Studies: Gender Studies Transfer degree will provide a streamlined pathway for transfer to a CSU campus with a Women and Gender Studies or similar major. Examples of CSU majors include American Studies, Gender Studies, Liberal Studies w/ Option in Interdisciplinary Studies in Culture & Society, Sociology - Concentration in Race, Class, and Gender, Sociology with Inequalities and Diversity Option, Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and Women's Studies. Students should consult with a counselor to determine whether or not this degree is the best option for their transfer goals. General education requirements should be selected carefully based on the intended transfer institution; please see a counselor for details if you are pursuing transfer to the UC system.
