The Administration of Justice Associate in Science Degree is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and skills to meet the requirements necessary for employment in the field of law enforcement at the local, state and federal levels. Some of the occupations in the law enforcement field include Police Officer, Sheriff Officer, Detectives/Criminal Investigator, Correctional Officer, Private Detective/Investigator, Parole Officer, Probation officer, Juvenile Justice Counselor, and Pre-release or Employer Counselor. This degree requires the completion of 24-25 units. At least one half of the units completed must be taken at Fullerton College.

🗸 Demonstrate an understanding of criminal law and the judicial process by analyzing various case laws and procedures used in the criminal justice system using methods acceptable per industry recognized standards for entry level positions.

🗸 Demonstrate an understanding of contemporary issues in law enforcement and operational impact by analyzing crime prevention issues relevant to the justice system and public safety using methods acceptable per industry recognized standards for entry level positions.

Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer

The Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer (AA-T) prepares students to move into a curriculum at a four-year institution leading to a baccalaureate degree in Art History, and then into careers in fine arts including art education, interior design, gallery operation, art merchandising, studio artist, illustration, art criticism, computer graphics and animation and related fields. Please consult a counselor regarding specific course requirements for your transfer institution. Completion of the AA-T degree also provides guaranteed admission with junior status to the CSU system, although it does not guarantee admission to a specific campus or major. Upon completion of the AA-T in Art History, students will be able to recognize specific styles of art, apply vocabulary pertinent to the discussion of art both in and out of the classroom, and demonstrate an understanding of the technical processes of various art media by developing an art portfolio that demonstrates a broad knowledge of the subject matter. Furthermore, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles of design and the elements of art, as well as identify relationships between art and the society in which it is created, and apply criteria for viewing and judging art.

The AA-T degree program requirements and the recommended electives prepare students in content areas for the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET) of Multiple Subjects. Additionally, the degree curriculum may also serve as preparation for paraprofessional positions in the K-12 classroom, meeting unit requirements for paraprofessionals as established by the No Child Left Behind Act.
